Fifth Policy Learning Forum (PLF) on upskilling pathways: a vision for the future

30.01.2024 – On 6 and 7 February, the fifth edition of “Policy Learning Forum (PLF) on upskilling pathways: a vision for the future” will take place in Brussels. The event is aimed at debating on the enhancement of policies of lifelong upskilling. It is part of a wider programme of activities in the context of the European Year of Skills promoted by Cedefop and the EESC.

“Cedefop and EESC policy learning fora (PLFs) on upskilling pathways” are policy learning events for the improvement, enhancement and upgrading of skills, with a view to providing a shared platform for mutual learning and debate among member countries, therefore enabling them to tackle common challenges and devise new pathways.

Moving from the in-depth studies conducted by France, Italy and Croatia in their quality of participants in the Thematic country reviewing (TCR) programme on upskilling pathways, attendants will discuss their own experiences with respect to the involvement of low-skilled adults in training activities, and debate on the most appropriate methods to foster their improvement and enhance upskilling activities.

On 6 February, Claudio Vitali (Inapp) will take part in two of the discussion panels: Upskilling pathways for low-skilled adults: the challenges and Upskilling pathways for low-skilled adults: the solutions.
