The Erasmus+ National Agency, whose Quality Management System is certified according to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 standard, carries out, within the framework of a specific Contribution Agreement with the European Commission (Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture), several tasks such as
- information and advice on the Programme in order to maximise participation in the scheme, especially by newcomer organisations;
- evaluation and selection of project initiatives submitted by organisations active in the field of vocational education and training and their contractualisation;
- disbursement of funding and monitoring and control activities of funded initiatives;
- promotion, dissemination and valorisation of the results achieved by the funded initiatives and thematic monitoring actions aimed at strengthening the visibility of the outcomes and supporting a useful mutual sharing and contamination between project experiences;
- transnational cooperation activities and European networks between the Agencies responsible for the implementation of Erasmus+ in the different countries, aimed at raising the quality of the Programme’s implementation and strengthening its compliance with European and national strategic policy guidelines.
Among the grants that the Erasmus+ Programme assigns to the Agency there are also the funds to finance Transnational Cooperation Activities (TCA – Key Action 3), aimed at supporting the participation of VET professionals in seminars and training events in Europe.
In line with the Institute’s core mission, the Erasmus+ National Agency also carries out a variety of evidence-based analysis activities aimed at exploring the Programme’s contribution to the priorities of the European Agenda for Education and Training.
